Mobile Notifications

Stay informed about request updates and important events.

Notification Types

Push Notification Setup

Push notifications require the Notifications permission:

  1. When prompted on first launch, tap Allow
  2. If you previously denied, go to ProfilePermissions → tap Manage in Settings
  3. Enable notifications for WorkForce in your device settings

Android

  • WorkForce uses a custom notification channel: "WorkForce Notifications"
  • You can customize sound, vibration, and priority for this channel in device settings

iOS

  • Supports alerts, badges, and sounds
  • Configure in SettingsNotificationsWorkForce

In-App Notifications

When the app is in the foreground, notifications appear as banners at the top of the screen. Tap the banner to navigate to the relevant item.

Notification Badge

The app icon badge shows the total unread notification count. The Approvals tab badge shows pending approval items specifically.

Troubleshooting

If you're not receiving notifications:

  1. Check permission status in ProfilePermissions
  2. Ensure notifications are enabled in device settings
  3. Check that battery optimization isn't restricting the app
  4. On Android, ensure the "WorkForce Notifications" channel is enabled
  5. Force-close and reopen the app
  6. Uninstall and reinstall as a last resort
