Attendance

Track your work hours with GPS-verified check-in and check-out.

Checking In

  1. Navigate to Attendance in the sidebar (web) or bottom tab (mobile).
  2. Click/tap the Check In button.
  3. Allow location access if prompted.
  4. Your location and timestamp are recorded automatically.
  5. The check-in method is tagged (web, mobile, or manual).
Geofencing

If your organization uses geofenced office locations, you must be within the configured radius to check in. If you're outside the radius, you may need to provide a reason (if allowed by your administrator).

Checking Out

  1. Click/tap Check Out on the attendance page.
  2. Work hours are calculated automatically from your check-in time.
  3. Overtime is calculated based on your assigned shift's end time.

Viewing History

  • View records in table or calendar view.
  • Filter by date range and status (present, late, absent, on leave).
  • Each record shows:
    • Date
    • Check-in time
    • Check-out time
    • Total work hours
    • Overtime hours
    • Status (present, late, absent)
    • Check-in method

Location Verification

When checking in, ZAINOVA captures:

  • GPS coordinates (latitude/longitude)
  • Distance to nearest office (in meters)
  • Office name (which geofenced area you're in)

Status Indicators

StatusMeaning
Within Office AreaYou're inside the geofence radius
⚠️ Outside Office AreaYou're outside the radius — reason may be required

Offline Check-in

If you lose internet connectivity:

  1. Your check-in/out is saved locally on your device.
  2. A pending sync indicator appears.
  3. When connectivity returns, records sync automatically.
  4. You'll see a confirmation once synced.

For Managers & Admins

With appropriate permissions, you can:

  • View all employees' attendance records
  • Filter by employee, department, or date range
  • Export attendance data to CSV/Excel
  • Create manual attendance entries for corrections
  • View attendance analytics and trends
